Grand, wonderful, fantastic adventures
What to read next – Saturday, December 15th, 2012
You’ll notice they’re all non-fiction – I very rarely read fiction. Undaunted Courage was going to be my choice. I’ve got it on my Kindle too, but when I went to turn it on, I found the screen frozen, and I can’t get it working again. Everything I read online leads me to believe it’s curtains, which really bums me out. I loved that thing. So now it will be Stiff because I am not a fan of hardcover books.
Here comes the bride…and the other bride – Sunday, December 16th, 2012
Charlie’s favorite color is pink, so when we play Life he always wants the pink car with a pink peg. As per usual, when it came time to get married, he chose another pink peg because he wants to marry me. We’ve been at this stage for a while now – he doesn’t understand why he can’t marry me when he’s older, and he wonders if that means I love The Scientist more than him. I try to explain that I love the two of them equally, but in different ways, and that I’ll always love him and be a part of his life, even though we can’t get married. Grown up things are hard.
Handmade holidays – Monday, December 17th, 2012
Advent activity – make Christmas ornaments for our tree. Naturally, this involved glitter and markers and sequins and pompoms. We’re fancy like that.
It’s a wonderful life – Tuesday, December 18th, 2012
As far as grand adventures go, packing up all your possessions and moving 2000 miles away from everything familiar because you fell in love is a pretty good one.Two years ago I did just that, and today is the anniversary of when I arrived in Houston.
Joyeux anniversaire – Wednesday, December 19th, 2012
You make me laugh so hard my face hurts. We grew up thousands of miles apart and had completely different lives up until we met but somehow we are so alike you usually know what I’m thinking before I say it. I still get butterflies in my stomach every time you walk in the door, and I know you do too because you ask me to marry you, again, almost every single day. We are lucky.
(If you would like to read about the ridiculousness that was our wedding I posted about it here).
Disco dino – Thursday, December 20th, 2012
Even dinosaurs enjoy a good Christmas party.
