Knitting epiphany

Wednesday, 14 March, 2012

Yesterday, as I was walking out the door on my way to work, my mind turned to one of its favorite running themes: knitting. My knitting mojo has returned, and with it thoughts of summer knits.

I was wearing my Shalom cardigan, hands down my most beloved handknit sweater of all time, and thinking of all the summer sweaters I want to make, debating which yarns to use, and alternately wondering if I shouldn’t knit Shalom again because I love my first one so much, which then turned into thinking about what sweaters I wear the most when BAM! It hit me. Something completely obvious about my knitting, something I should have noticed ages ago, something that makes me rethink my entire sweater queue:

Without a doubt, overwhelmingly, all the sweaters I’ve made that are staples of my wardrobe are short sleeved or sleeveless.

I can’t believe I didn’t notice this before!

Glad to hear your mojo is back…I really enjoy reading your blog and miss it when we don’t hear from you for awhile! I made the Harris shrug, and I love this pattern! Am planning on making some more in other colors. Keep up the great design work!
