It has been a busy couple of weeks in my little corner of Houston.
I had family visit from out of town, and while their presence naturally meant that blogging was far from my mind, all the time we spent visiting gave me a perfect excuse to knit.
Resulting in two finished projects!
The first is the cropped cardigan I showed you a few weeks ago, which now has a name thanks to my dear friend Liz. Here’s another peek at it, this time of the detailing on the back.
My next completed project is a sweet little shawl. This one was knit so fast I didn’t have a chance to blog about it before it came off my needles! It’s hard to tell from the photograph, but the body of the shawl is knit in a dot stitch pattern which, because of a brief obsession I had with its uniform repeats of knits and purls, will always take me back to this January: learning my way around the city, days spent lounging around before I started working again, and just generally delighting in the newness of everything around me.
You likely won’t see the cardigan again until next month, but I’d count on becoming better acquainted with the shawl soon.
