On turning 30

Friday, 13 May, 2011

Thank you to those of you who purchased Harris, and for all the kind comments and messages I’ve received about it this week.

Harris was released on Monday for a reason – it was my last day in my 20s. Call it my last hurrah.

At 30 I can say I have amazing friends and a family I can always count on. Every day I am loved and appreciated, and I see that the things I do matter. I’ve learned what makes me happy, and I know what I want my life to look like – and I’m very nearly there.

I also want to take a moment to say thank you to my kitty*. Your paw print really added an extra special touch to my birthday cake. The joke is on you, kitten. We cut around that spot and ate every last bit of gooey butter cake AND IT WAS DELICIOUS.

*Who was later identified by the powdered sugar on her paw.
