The 12:5 project, Day Three

Friday, 31 July, 2009

My poor little fingers, they have been knitted to the bone.

Untrue. However, my neck and left shoulder and arm are a bit sore, which I’m guessing is due to my very enthusiastic knitting over the last three days. It’s been pretty much non-stop.

But the pain is definitely worth the gain. I’m 8 rows away from being finished with my second project, the Thermis cowl. The pattern calls for a worsted weight yarn, but I’m using a sport weight and it’s turning out great. The yarn is MamaBlue Troika Sport in the Algae colorway. My first time knitting with MamaBlue! As you can imagine, or might already know, it’s heavenly.

So what about the Felicity hat I was working on during my last post? Finished! I cast off around noon yesterday, and will take pictures of it, and all my other finished projects when we get back from our trip to Portland.

Portland? Yes, Portland. Not at all coincidentally, our trip is coinciding with Sock Summit, and while I might not be able to attend any classes, I will be going to the marketplace, where I have no doubt I’m going to blow all of my spending money for the entire month. I’ll talk more about that later.

Ooo!! I love that pattern! I’m definitely going to have to whip one up for the colder months. Hope you have a great time at the Summit. I’d have been just as happy going for the shopping.

If some extra Bugga should happen to jump into your bag I’d be glad to take it off your hands. As a friendly gesture. Cuz that’s how I am.
