Baby got Back

Monday, 6 April, 2009

You guys, designing patterns is haaaard. It requires, like, thinking and math and stuff.

Earlier this afternoon I finished the back of the vest I’m making. You can’t tell from the bang up job I did pinning it out, but it really and truely is symmetrical. If you’d like to see the picture bigger so you can get a better idea of the color, click here.

I give it about a 50% chance of it fitting the way I hope it does, a 25% chance of it fitting well enough that I’m satisfied, a 15% chance that the fit is kind of funky but still is wearable, and a 10% chance that it doesn’t fit at all and I have to reknit the thing. And I give the previous sentence only a 50% chance of making sense/actually adding up to 100%.

It looks great so far. You’re brave to attempt designing, but I bet you’re learning a lot in the process, regardless of the outcome.
