Red Blue Switcharoo

Tuesday, 3 February, 2009

I used to love the color blue and disliked red. Now that I’m an old and wise 27, I’ve seen the error of my ways. I’m all for red and, if you looked through my stash, you would find very little blue yarn.

My red Lace Ribbon Scarf is coming along.

I had hoped to be a little farther, but I’m under the weather and spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon asleep on the couch. This afternoon might very well be headed in the same direction.

It’s a complex color to try and capture.

Yesterday I promised you exciting news.

No, it isn’t that Andy has his own window perch in the craft room, although to certain kitties that is big news. The news is:

Today is the one year anniversary of this little blog! Yay!

And to celebrate, I’m giving away some yarny goodness. And all you have to do to win is leave a comment! Say hello or, better yet, give me a suggestion of what you’d like to see more of on the blog. On Friday I’ll randomly draw name, and if I pick you a surprise package of some of my favorite yarns will be coming your way!

I love the color of your scarf. Very nice choice! I’ve experienced a growing interest in the color myself as I’ve gotten older. Still not a fan of plain old fire engine red, but anything with a little more depth to it and I’m all over it. Hope you feel better soon : )

    Happy blogiversary!
I hope you feel better soon. I’m the same with the red yarn thing. I have more of that shade in my stash than blue or green. Makes you wonder how it happens, huh?

Mom still loves blue but look at our house – greens and reds??? If you pick my name pull it out and pick someone else. The red yarn is very rich and beautiful!

    Happy Blogiversary!

I’m usually not much of a red fan either, but I like the depth of color in the yarn you’re using. So Pretty!

    Hope you feel better soon!

    Happy Blogiversary!

That’s a beautiful color. While I’m a huge blue and green fan, I can appreciate a good red when I see one.

I like blue…*and* red! When I was younger, I always felt conspicuous if I wore red, but I’ve gotten over that. My favorite reds have a blue undertone, though. No orangey red for me.

Your scarf is going to be beautiful!

Damnit. I was going to say, “Oh I love that color and I’ve seen a lot of that pattern lately – I need to try it” just because. But now I look like I’m just gunning for the yarn giveaway. Which I totally am. 😉

    Happy Blogoversary!

Congrats! The reds of that yarn look very dynamic. Each picture captures a little different shade. Honestly, what I like most about your blog is what I like most about your knitting: you primarily knit the two things I can’t wrap my knitting mind around: socks and lace. I enjoy seeing each new project, as well as all the gorgeous stash!

I’ve been reading your blog for about 3 months now. I’ve enjoyed it very much. MMMM…..I love that black over violet Sundara you’ve got up there.

    Your cats are sweet.

Count me in! Andy looks like such a wise kitty! >^_^<

Things to post on the blog? Maybe a pic or two from other odds and ends going on in your life. Trip to Barnes & Noble? The park? Stuff like that! ^_^
