Dad’s Ribbed Socks

My Dad is not a fancy guy. I can count the number of time I’ve seen him wear a tie on one hand. Actually, two fingers would probably do the trick. So when it’s time for me to knit something for him, tried and true patterns are the way to go.

These are a simple 3×1 rib in a pattern I made up along the way. While I’m sure Dad would have been willing to model them for me (because he’s a super great Dad that does whatever he can to make his girl happy), I didn’t want to put him though that. And besides, on Sunday, when I will be seeing him next, we have some very important business to attend to. Watching the Superbowl.

Dad is an electrician, and during the winter he needs heavy socks. Hopefully these will keep his toes warm.

Dad’s Ribbed Socks. Knit with Cascade 220 in color 9402 on size 3 DPN.

And with that, my knitting goal for January is complete!

They look great. I’m sure your dad will love them.
