A month from today will be the one year (!) anniversary of this little blog, and since it looks like I’m going to be around for awhile I decided to get myself a proper URL. You can now find me at You’re welcome to update your bookmarks or the feed on your feed reader with the new address, but you shouldn’t have to do anything, everything should work as it had before.

There are a couple projects for my family I should be finishing up, but they’re on hold at the moment.

This is the Garter Yoke Cardigan from the new issue of Knit 1. I’m making it in Colonia 140 from in the color Rohan. I should have enough yarn to make this sweater. But since HPY keeps their colors around for small amounts of time I thought I should whip this up quickly just in case I don’t. If I was almost finished with a project and ran out of yarn, yarn which I could never get again, I would probably lose it.

Olive has turned out to be the most wonderful little kitten. She goes through moments of high energy, but spends most of her time sleeping. She’s a super snuggler, and has been sleeping in bed with me at night since only a few days after she came home.

We gave her a bath last weekend. That went as well as expected.

Hmmm, Olive looks a bit put out. We’ve never bathed our cat. Mostly because we like living.

Congrats on your new domain name!

Love Olive! Sprocket the Cat is the patron saint of my blog. He could use a bath too, come to think of it, mangy cat that he is.
