2008 Year in Review

Wednesday, 31 December, 2008

I think it’s fair to say that 2008 was the year I became a serious knitter. It went from an occasional hobby to something I do every day.

Tilted Duster. Forest Canopy Shawl. Juno Regina. Rustic hat. Shetland Triangle Shawl. Hooray for Spring Shawl. A Rainbow in 94756285 stitches. Three State Scarf. Wheat Field Shawl. Clapotis. Waterlily Socks. Cup Cozy. Bloom Lake Socks. Lucky Vines. Capigan. Rocky Road Socks. Fall in the Forest. February Lady Sweater.

Eighteen finished objects in 12 months. Next year I’m shooting for 20. If you’re interested in reading more about any of these projects, on the right side of my blog is a tab listing them all

And for fun, here are my favorite stash enhancements from this year:

Socks that Rock in Waterlily. Fleece Artist 2/6 in Paris. Mama Blue Simple Sock in Bramble. Sanguine Gryphon Eidos in Orchesis. Sundara Sock in Black over Violet. Wollmeise Sockenwolle in Turkis und Karneol. Pagewood Farm Denali in River Rock. Sundara Lace in Amazon Gold. Socks that Rock in Lunasea. Sundara Sock in Bronzed Forest. Sundara Sock in Midnight Holly. Sundara Sock in Arabian Nights. Sundara Sock in Peach over Pear. Sundara Sock in Saddle Bronco. Woolen Rabbit Sock in Chocolate Chambord. Socks that Rock in Space Dust. Sundara Sock in Mint over Toffee. Socks that Rock in Alina. Ball and Skein Artisan in Aztec Gold. Socks that Rock in Rare Gem.

I’m glad this year is over. It was great and it was horrible, but above all it was stressful. Here’s to a happy 2009!
