The World is Ending. News at 11

Why is Andy hiding under my kitchen cupboards?

Is it because I tried a picot edging on the sock I was making, and he’s more of a ribbed cuff sort of a cat?

No.

Is it because I finished the first of the pair of socks I’m making, and he’s sad to see this beautiful yarn coming to an end?

Try again.

Is it because we adopted another cat from the shelter and he’s a great big wuss?

Bingo.

Meet Naomi. This is the best picture I could get of her before she went running off to explore more. She’s just over a year old, and is a manx. She was found in a car after her previous owners had been arrested, and was at the shelter for a month.

I’m a librarian who knits and owns two cats. Hey there, stereotypes. Let me conform to you.

You’ve captured the “deer in the headlights” look on Andy, perfectly! Naomi looks kind of like our Mookie. We say she looks like a moldy chee-to. And we love her!

Ha ha ha – I conform to the stereotype as well…I am a librarian and a knitter and I own 2 cats. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I do have one human baby as well – a daughter…I refer to the cats as her two older brothers. My husband thinks I’m nuts 😉

Great blog btw – I stumbled across it recently and have been reading some of your older posts. I am very envious of your Sundara stash.
