Tag! I’m it!
I was tagged by the lovely Michelle to do a mem, which is perfect because I’ve been all sorts of busy the last couple days and no knitting has gotten done. Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who “tagged” you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know your entry is up.
Ok, 6 random things:
1. My husband and I are currently looking for a house, which is why I’ve been so busy. To rent, not to buy. He just graduated from college this past May so we’d like to wait a year to see where we’re at before actually purchasing. I am so freaking excited. We have way outgrown our townhouse.
2. Two years ago I took a train trip from Spokane, Wa to Chicago, IL, from Chicago to Los Angeles, LA to Portland, OR, and Portland back to Spokane. The trip was entirely for fun, and although I did stop and see a couple people along the way that was just a bonus. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
3. I think I’m going to buy either these shoes, or these shoes. Born’s or Dansko’s? I can’t decide.
4. The love of my life was a hairless rat. Her name was Starling, and she passed away last October.
I know that sounds silly. A rat? But if she could have lived as long as I will I would have been satisfied never to have children. She was the other pea in my pod.
5. My favorite season is fall. Bring on the sweaters and the hot chocolate!
6. I’m going grey, and I’m 27. I kind of like it.
Ok, I know I’m supposed to tag 6 people, but I’m not going to. Instead, decide for yourself whether you’d like to do it, and if you do let me know.
Hi, first time commenting, but I’ve read your blog for a while.
I totally understand about your rat. I lost my love-rat, Sparrowhawk, this past June. She was a blue rex. I miss her so much. My mom always called my rats her grandrats – who needs kids! 🙂
I’m usually a sucker for Danskos (I have 7 pairs with the same bottom as Marcelle), but those Borns are seriously cute. I think the Borns. Go for it! Unless that high back at the Achilles tendon is irritating. Oh, no. Now I can’t decide, either!
I liked this 🙂 & Go for the first shoes! Super cute.
OK, I’m not usually a fan of rats, but I was so touched by your love for your rat that I’m tearing up a bit! I’m a big cryer when it comes to pets. She must have been very special and you clearly had a special relationship, so sorry for your loss.
I was cruising around online looking for knitting patterns and happened upon your site.
I too am a rat lover 🙂 My little Maude passed away a year ago and I still miss her. Rats are such special little animals, and I am not ashamed to say that Maude was a little soul mate. I still have two rats that I adore, Sugar and Fern.
Starling was lucky to have you as her owner 🙂 I hope you find a new little rat friend.
Best,
Melissa
