Have I fallen off the face of the Earth?

Sunday, 24 August, 2008

No. My mind is exceptionally one-track, to the point that I read four books, totaling 2444 pages, in just over a week. As you can imagine, not much knitting got done in that period, but once I completed reading the series I got back to business, and finally have real progress to show you.

If I was following the pattern I would probably be able to finish it today, but since I’m not I still have a good six inches left on the body, and then the sleeves, which I’m planning to make 3/4 length.

I tried it on yesterday afternoon, and the fit is perfect. I’m really in love with this pattern. It’s such a good template, ridiculously easy to modify. I wouldn’t be surprised if I made another one or two or three in the future.

Gee, I love this pattern!!!!! Great color too.. Happy, happy you are knitting again yet I like it when you are reading too. How about books on tape and do 2 things at once!

    Hi Em,
I have loved looking back at all your wonderful work!!!! You are amazing. When I told them at church I was resigning as of the 10th but we haven’t sold our house yet, they wanted me to come to their knitting group which meets on Weds. I used to knit but brother it’s been probably 40 years. I told them all about you! We are certainly looking forward to seeing you in Nov.

All that stockinette (is it?) is perfect reading AND knitting material! Try it and see what you think. I can’t do books on tape; my mind wanders!

I tagged you for a meme on my blog today. Come check it out!
