February Lady what now?

Wednesday, 13 August, 2008

Bad news first – I started on my February Lady Sweater, but decided I didn’t like the color of the yarn. If I’m going to knit an entire sweater I want to be completely happy with it. So I’m selling the yarn on Ravelry, where hopefully someone will give it a good home, and I’ve ordered different yarn so I can start over.

I was in cardigan mode, and wanted to keep the momentum going, so I looked through my stash and pulled out some Knit Picks bulky in Pewter. I’m going to make a modified version of the Anthropologie-Inspired Caplet.

It’s pretty unexciting right now. Truth be told, I haven’t felt much like knitting this week. The modifications I’m planing on making are extending the sleeves so they come down to mid-upper arm, and increasing the body length so it comes down to my waist.

Too bad about the lady sweater, but you’re right-you should definitely be in love with the yarn color to make such an investment. Plus, it’s an excuse to buy more (not like we need one).

I’m knitting the Anthropologie pattern right now as well. I love the color you chose!
