Admitting defeat

I’m frogging the Wool Peddler’s Shawl.

By yesterday afternoon I had probably 3/4 of it finished. The yarn wasn’t behaving like I wanted it to, and it still was leaving dye marks on my hands. I emailed Blue Moon Fiber Arts, asking if this was normal, and was told that because of the darkness of the dyes it was. So I took both things into consideration, and (painfully) decided things were over between us.

And then I knit a hat.

Shawl? What shawl? I am one fickle pickle.

I used the Thorpe pattern, but made changes, including not doing the crochet border because I? Cannot crochet to save my life. The whole one needle thing is too confusing.

I’m calling it my Rustic Hat. I used Lumpy Bumpy yarn by Charlene in colorway Harvest and size 9 needles.

I LOVE the hat! You need to finish the shawl…you can soak it and see if there is any way to salvage it. The yarn is so beautiful…

your comment on the whole one needle for crocheting made me laugh because I’m the exact opposite. I can crochet anything but can’t knit to save my life. Why on earth would I want to use 2 needles when I am quite good at using just one!
