Anticipation – Saturday, December 29, 2012
Proof that I was excited to see this: I brought my knitting to the theater, and knit through the previews, but put it away as soon as the movie started.

Back log – Sunday, December 30, 2012
Shawls with ends to weave in: three. Shawls that need to be blocked: two. Goal: have them all finished by the end of the week. (Note: goal accomplished)
Unintentional – Monday, December 31, 2012
I was going to do something different for this day’s picture, but then I fell asleep because I am old and staying up until midnight is haaard. So instead you get a picture of the Steak and Guinness Pie I made earlier in the evening. 1. Food is difficult to photograph – it’s almost impossible for it to look good. 2. Go make this. Right now. So nom.

Predictable – Tuesday, January 1, 2013
Why yes, I do have a picture of a Jared Flood project set as the wallpaper on my iPad. Hands up if you’re not the least bit surprised.

Date night – Wednesday, January 2, 2013
This movie was good. Academy Award winning good. Also, Ben Affleck, don’t ever cut your 70’s hair or shave your face because you are smokin.

Learning curve – Thursday, January 3, 2013
Who cracked like an egg under pressure? This girl. Yeah, I totally cast on for Thorn, even though I swore wasn’t going to. The yarn I’m using, Brooklyn Tweed Loft, is very lightly spun, and it’s going to take some getting used to. After trying to wind it with my ball winder and swift and having it snap three times in the first couple yards, I had to do the rest by hand.
Ridiculously photogenic cat – Friday, January 4, 2013
Dean would never admit it, but he loves having his picture taken.

Great post. Can’t wait to see the shawls. As far as cats go Dean is smokin to
Happy New Year.
Though I don’t knit, I love reading all your posts!
Good to know about Loft Yarn! I have 3 skeins of it staring at me from my yarn bowl in the living room… I have a huge stack of shawls to block but the floor space is rampaged by the dogs…
Happy New Year
