Crafty living
If I was single and lived alone I know what my apartment would look like.
I would have learned to crochet ages ago and there would be granny square blankets everywhere.
All of the cross stitch I’ve done would decorate the walls. I can’t display it now because it contains some *ahem* colorful language.
Two words: decorative yarn.
My curtains would all be homemade, and none of them would match because there is way too much cute fabric and not nearly enough windows in this world.
There would be more cats.
And there would be many more decorations like this.
I’ve been meaning to make this sweet little button display since the spring of 2010 but never got around to it until this week. The template is a freebie from Design Sponge.
It took one piece of cardstock, 12 cute buttons, a needle and thread, and less than one hour. I won’t subject the Scientist to living in my idea of a swingin’ spinster’s pad, but I think he can handle the occasional crafty decoration.
Until I learn to crochet. Then all bets are off.

It’s already in storage.
Get ready for the granny squares, sweetheart. We’ll see what you say when I’m living the high life under a pile of warm blankets and you’re shivering in your chair.
Well, I mean if you don’t want it I’ll take the Packers blanket, and the scary cat blanket.
Also, it’s 296.15 kelvin outside. No need for blanket.
And that right there is why I love you. Also for your scary cat blanket.
I adore that button display! I might have to make it. Maybe. Or I’ll find one to buy.
That would be the most crafty home ever!!!!
Sounds like a personal problem…fun post!
Very sweet…
I love granny chic. I’m trying to find a way to work it into our home without being so over-the-top.
