Fall in the Forest
That’s what these socks remind me of. The look of the forest during autumn.

I finished them Tuesday night, and wore them for the first time yesterday while I had lunch with my dear friend, Miranda, and then while I went Christmas shopping with my mom. My two favorite ladies, plus a new pair of comfortable, soft socks. It was a good day.

Isn’t it interesting how, in handpainted socks, they can knit up differently depending on where you start in the skein?

Sanguine Gryphon Eidos sock yarn in colorway Orchesis. Knit on Size 1.5 needles. Started November 8, finished December 9. Cast on and started in Nashville, worked on in Denver and Idaho, traveled to Kentucky and Washington, my last project in our old apartment, and my first project in our new house.
Yay! I was so glad to see them yesterday- SO pretty! xoxo
One of the best things about making things by hand is the memories attached to every project. They are beautiful and I bet as comfortable as the ones you made me. Thanks again honey.

The look wonderful. I don’t know if I could knit with needles that small, I always feel so impatient for my socks to be finished. Beautiful work!
