Spring Colors

It has been a long winter. And I’ve gotten to the point where anything remotely winterish is repulsive.
The Wool Peddler’s Shawl I was working on was a heavier shawl. A winter shawl. And it is now a hibernating shawl. I feel bad, because I’ve given up on that project twice. But so it goes. What’s a knitter without unfinished objects lurking around?
A couple weeks back a lovely knitter on Ravelry posted a skein of Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock medium weight in color Barney Rubble. I was forced to buy it. Not only is it a beautiful color, but it is also a beautiful, discontinued color.
I forgot to take a picture of the skein before I started knitting it up, so I’ve stole one from the lady I bought it from.
How the Blue Moon ladies ever looked at it and came up with the name Barney Rubble I’ll never know. I turned it into the Forest Canopy shawl.
Unblocked.

The yarn was a dream to work with. So very soft. The pattern called for 10 repeats of the main pattern, but I wanted to stretch this yarn as far as it would go, so I ended up doing 14. I modified the bind off so I wouldn’t have points like my last one, which you can see here. This is how much yarn I had left over.
