Beginnings

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Actually, no. Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop.

On the plus side, all the crazy weather has given me a rock solid excuse to stay home and knit. So yay, except libraries don’t get snow days, and it took me 45 minutes to shovel my car out on Tuesday.

My current project is Juno Regina from Knitty. It is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to knit, but after two failed attempts it finally stuck.

The first several inches were a killer. I like lace knitting, but if I don’t give it my full attention – no TV, no music, no nothing – I get off track really easily. Now that I’m on the repeating middle section it’s smooth sailing. I’m using Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace in Black Pearl. It is nice and soft, although the color is a little different than I anticipated.
